“Friendly, unpretentious, fabulous food and great service.”
Booked a table for three following our visit to the university. We had a very warm welcome from the waitress and we ordered, parfait, goats cheese and whitbait for starters. Followed by seabsss, pork and confite duck. What a delight! Everything was cooked and presented to perfection. Unfortunately we couldn't manage another morsel. So we missed out on desert this time! With drinks the bill didn't exceed £25 per head. Excellent!
Love this restaurant. Great food, wonderful atmosphere and a bill to suit all pockets. Look out for their special weekday offers but this is a great place to meet with friends or family or just have a quiet relaxed meal with your partner - give it a try!Michelle
“Great little find”
My partner and I on a pre a visit to The Curve (whiich is a mere 5-7 minutes walk away). The restaurant is a great mix of industrial chic. We had a lovely evening meal - the restaurant was quiet as it was only 1730 when we arrived but was filling up nicely by the time we left. The staff were attentive and helpful and the menu was to die for - and we were not disappointed - the food was served beautifully and the portion sizes were just right - the duck main course was sublime and the souffle that my partner had was just wonderful. I would def visit again and so good to be able to visit a really great independant restaurant.Michaeldevon
“Best in leicester”
Simply the best, most relaxed, restuarant in Leicester. Great food and wine. Helpful staff who give good advice to the customer.John
“Delicious food, lovely experience.”
The Boot Room was a pleasant surprise for us, as the choice of good (non-chain) restaurants in Leicester is rather limited, but I can safely say this was the best meal I have had in a very long time. Our starters, mains and desserts were all extremely tasty and well made, with fresh, quality ingredients. I strongly recommend the grilled chicken with cabbage and lardons, absolutely exquisite! Definitely worth a visit for a quality meal.Harkie87
“Wonderful food, wonderful service - highly recommended!
I have been working in Leicester for the past year and have visited the Boot Room on many occasions. The food and service are outstanding. Visit this restaurant - you will not be disappointed!KeithABennett
We had never heard of The Boot Room, as it is situated a bit off the beaten track. But after chancing by, we decided to give it a go... and we were so glad we did. The meal itself was probably the best food I have had - and certainly the best food available in Leicester city centre. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the price was extremely reasonable. It worked out as about £35 each for a 3 course meal, which included quite a few bottles of wine! I would recommend the Boot Room to anyone and everyone.Luke Glassford
“Excellent atmosphere, Very good décor and Excellent service”
Ate there Friday evening with a foodie friend and it was great. Good choice, and then excellent service with discreet but attentive service. Great wine list too. Will definitely go again.Clare Proctor
A consistent "eaterie" (their term) set in a property formerly used in Leicester's footwear industry (as suggested by the name). Food and service have always been very good when I've visited.Rick B
